Korkers SnowJack Winter Boots with Interchangeable SnowTrac & IceTrac Outsoles - Waterproof Hiking Boots for Snow, Ice & Outdoor Adventures

I bought a pair of The North Face Slot WP boots 2 winters ago. They were fantastic boots for 1 winter; not exactly something you'd like to find out after dumping $130 into a pair of boots. The soles started separating from the boot less than halfway through winter before finally forming a crack that ended up opening the front of my boot and welcoming all sorts of snow and water. Wet, cold feet. Bleh.These Korkers are the replacements I finally got around to buying and so far they are absolutely fantastic. The swappable soles are an amazing idea and I've already used the ice cleats a couple times while walking my dogs. These are warmer, slimmer, better looking and a little less limiting to foot/ankle mobility than the Slot WPs I owned previously. I was concerned about the clips, slots and rear tab of the swappable soles wearing out or breaking easily, but after spending some time looking around at reviews, I've read a lot of posts from folks who expected the same wear and were met with the surprise of a solid product that held up after much use; I can only hope that reliability and durability are a commonality and not a fluke for those reviewers.Really my only gripe so far would be the laces. They seem a little cheap and I feel like I'm going to snap them whenever I tie my boots. Thankfully, I've got some paracord laces that I'll be swapping them out for.Overall I really like these boots. The idea of being able to swapout different tread types is great. They are warm and water proof. We'll see how the system holds up after a year of wearing them....Only complaint is that they are narrow as other reviews have pointed out. I have an average width foot and find I can't wear thick winter socks with them.Make noise when I walked in them and could not keep my feet warm at all, even with good socks.Fits like a glove.. keeps your feet warm as long as you keep moving.I bought these for fly fishing in cold weather and I love these boots. They are great for different stream environments since they have a rubber sole and a studded rubber sole that are interchangeable, as well as other combinations of soles sold separately.
