Just received this chair today. I had my doubts about this chair, but I'm pretty pleased with it initially. Here is what I like about it right off:It is pretty low, but still it doesn't feel uncomfortably low when sitting on it. I am a little over 5' 8" tall. It is actually the perfect height for the portable table I also bought to go with it.Being low also makes it short when packed. I bought it for tour cycling and this chair is about as wide as my panniers (19.5").It is light weight. On my scale (which is very accurate) it weighs slightly under 18 oz. This makes this chair the lightest I've seen. This chair seems to be sturdy and well made. I weigh a little under 160 lbs and it seems to hold me fine.It looks good...matches my tent.It is reasonably priced, especially compared to some others I looked at.The only negative so far is the silly little shoulder strap. They should have either made it longer or just left it off. Not a big enough issue for me to take off a star. Now, if it holds up over the summer I will be thrilled with my purchase!!!We've taken this on a lot of trips, I even took this on my hike down the grancanyon. Very convenient, sturdy, and compact. I weigh 120-126lbs my father weighs aroun 180lbs. We haven't had any problems with it. It fits perfectly in our carry on luggage. The only complaint we have is that it would be better if the strap was longer. A little note to add is that it takes some getting used to for a male to sit on this.I massage clients at their houses, and I was going to use this stool to sit on while I work on their necks. I thought it would be a nice to go stool that folds up and fits anywhere. However it has a fatal flaw where it doesnt stay open and simply doesnt work. When I tested it at home on my kitchen floor it worked alright, but in practice when I'm focused on massaging and trying to use it on a carpet, it folded up on me when I went to sit on it the 3 times I attempted. I'm not a clumsy person, it just can't stay open on a rug or carpet, it's too wobbly and small, with nothing to lock it into the open position. So I donated itIt did what it was supposed to do and definetly something to have when you have to wait in long lines. The only thing that users need to look out for is to be careful when you take a seat. Since its so small, it tends to tip a bit so if you're not careful, you might end up falling over. The chair is light enough to carry with ease yet it supported our weights ranging from 140-180 lbs.Right out of the packaging, I noticedd that one of the plastic/rubber feet on one of the legs that keeps from scratching floors, etc. is cracked and looks like it will wear out quickly or fall off after some use. Not a great way to impress me right off the bat. I am assuming that it will work fine but have not been able to use it yet.I used this folding stool at SD Comic Con. Way better than sitting on the hard sidewalk or wet grass while waiting in lines for hours. My feet tend to fall asleep rather quickly when sitting on the ground, very uncomfortable. This stool helped me a lot comfort wise. It just barely fit in my backpack if you put it in at an angle. The plastic covers on the bottom of the legs broke almost immediately on gravel so I'll need to replace them. Will sink into the sand without covers. Very small seat, especially for someone above 5' 10". I'll keep this because it's small, light, and cheap, but I'm sure there are higher quality seats out there for a more discerning buyer.I telework around 3 days a week. This is the chair I've been using since I got it. This chair arrived July 10 2015. Today is September 4 2015, and it broke while I was sitting in it. The foot cap thing fell off after about 1 week of owning it. I taped it back on. It was only like $15 or something so the broken chair isn't a terrible loss. I weigh around 180. I don't remember seeing a weight limit. My greatest regret is I never got to thank it for 7 weeks of service before I crushed it to death. I hope it knows I wanted to.
