Our six year old has found these books fascinating. Based loosely on the Horrible History franchise, the layout is very much similar, except these books are in full colour and the print larger and the book shorter - about 30 pages per book. We have a small selection of these books, because our daughter tried one and really enjoyed it.They're aimed at the younger market, around 5 years and older in my home in particular. Slightly younger audience than the Horrible History books and aren't quite as gory. Still, this hasn't stopped our daughter from reading her siblings HH books too. As a result, here's her direct comparison:"Their brimming with important facts, the pictures are glorious, I've read these books a few times, even taking them into school to share with my class. No-one has heard of them yes because they're new. My friends wanted to know where they can get them. I feel like ive learnt a lot of interesting things about that part of history".Her words, not mine. The set of books have opened her eyes to our historical real world and as an avid reader, set the course to establish to her that truth can be stranger than fiction. She's requested more factual books, which of course will help solidify her breath of knowledge overall.5 stars
